In lieu of KK presents this year, recent graduates Jessica Lundie and Helen Myroforidis have organised for RSC staff to donate to The Royal Children's Hospital Education Institute.
For many patients attending The Royal Children’s Hospital for treatment, coming to hospital means time away from school.
The Royal Children’s Hospital Education Institute works in collaboration with young people, families, schools, and education and health professionals to ensure that children and young people in hospital continue to engage in learning and remain connected to their school community throughout their hospital stay.
A team of dedicated teachers, researchers and support staff create vibrant learning experiences for children and young people, implementing an inquiry-based approach to learning with the help of innovative technologies. Our teachers know that learning can happen anywhere and that’s why education sessions are conducted at the beside, in wards, specialist clinics and public spaces of the hospital.
Every year, the Education Institute supports more than 1600 children and young people at The Royal Children’s Hospital by providing learning opportunities and advice on education and pathways.
Please help us continue to support young learners by making a donation.
